FASHION SHOW Photography

I'm such a proud cousin and I have been saying it for so many times whenever I posted one of these images. Yes, My brother is a fashion designer and whenever I recalled his struggles to be where he's the past 5 years, I'm really so proud of him. He started everything from the lowest point where he only had one sewing machine with no staff at all and the machine was second hand ones. For around 10 years, his career wasn't that smooth neither, his other businesses also went flopped, but his humble personality and helping others in the same industry is what made him where he's today.

I remembered on how my mom was totally against him although at the same time she is also proud of him too. Then, when all his friends were using fancy cars, he would saved all his money for an investment and keep expanding his business. But now, look where he is today, the struggles have brought him fame. And of course, went thorough hard ships for almost 20 years is never been easy but the strong faith and determination is what made him even stronger and better.

Lately, he does solo fashion show which even made me proud of him. I hope very soon, I also can make my whole family proud of me too. I know to be where he is today, is such a long, tiring and painful journey too. But with strong passion and never-lose-faith will make you get thorough it easily. I'm very thankful for where I'm today, the progress I've made since last year and will keep gradually making it awesome. True, the journey is so rocky and felt like just stop and end it for too many times too, but when you have strong faith, believe in HIS plans and having the right people by your side, you will just be finding a way way.

Okay, please don't misuse these photos and these are the photos which I took at his recent solo fashion show. I pray for him to be more successful and famous, to be blessed with more of successes and happiness too!

Food Review : De Mingle

We saw this Indo-Dutch Bistro restaurant at west Jakarta next to Food Hall's building. Their Address is at : Jl. Raya Pejuangan Kav.12A Unit C and I'm pretty sure I'll be coming back to this restaurant again. As their name is bistro and I like their Interior as well, really make you feel comfortable but personally, a little to small for birthday party(unless they are resetting everything). However, once you landed your feet inside of this restaurant, you could feel the homey environment. Their staff is also very friendly, helpful and fast too. They are quite fast in responding which is rare to find lately! Good hospitality and environment I must say.

As for the food, me and mom was sharing everything though and our main menu was this Beef Gelatin as one of their specializations too. The truth, I don't remember the name at all as mom was ordering the whole things. Yes, mom really loves Dutch food a lot and she brought me to couple of Dutch restaurants, but I must say, this one is surely my most favorite ones. It fits my taste though. The salad she ordered is nothing wow, but somehow, it taste good - combination of eggs, apples, etcs with Thousand Island's dressing. I'm not sure what's so wow about it but we like it. It's really good for appetizer though. Then another appetizer we ordered is (if I'm not mistaken) called " De Mingle's platter". I'm not exactly remember the name but the word platter is surely there in the menu. It consists of fish & chips , fries, bitterballen and rissoles. My mom likes the fish & chips while I go for bitterballen but for me, their Rissoles is too oily. Overall, for the price of 49,000 IDR, the platter is surely worth it though.

For the Main menu as I said earlier, I chose their Beef Gelatin and it's yummy! Do ask for more sauce and enjoy your beef and mashed potatoes. Not lots of restaurants can make a good mashed potatoes in Jakarta. I shared this two stack of beef with mom and we couldn't get stop eating them so yes, for 69,000 IDR, there's nothing to be complained about. Definitely RECOMMENDED for this one.
Oh yeah mom also ordered the bourbon (red bean) soup with beef at the last minute. She said it wasn't that good but not that bad too, average taste but yet she still finished all of them with happy face LOL. Then, the famous dutch desert, Porfejes and of course I'm not going to miss this one. It's just made you feel like you have been in "dutch restaurant" :p! The only thing I don't like is the cinnamon. If only they hadn't put it, I would just really love this a lot ha-ha-ha-ha! Yeah, I don't like Cinammon but ignore that comment, this one is well made too and If I'm not mistaken it costs around 35,000 IDR.
Well oh well, at the end of the day, we were really satisfied and totally would be coming back here again. The food is really good , the place is really cosy (good for hang out / meeting), and the value also reasonable enough. For the total 5 food, we spent about 300,000 - 320,000 IDR with 2 mineral water and 1 ice-tea as for the drinks. So it does worth it and we are truly will be recommending this restaurant. Quite looking forward on the 2nd visit and going to try different menu, quite curious on how other taste but we are satisfied with what we ordered. Go and try it everyone , totally recommended to you :)

Sweet Fiesta Weekend!

For this post, it will all just be "food and beverage" photography And this much food, beverage and sweet, I had in the weekend. Introducing you, Aloo Paratha which is purely made by Mr. Gwumpieh from the scratch. I was just so bored, so I took my camera and just took few shots for fun but ended up loving the images though. The way he make this potato paratha is just yummy even more delicious than  couple of Indian restaurants which I tried in Jakarta, Indonesia.

After the client's meeting and made a deal, then it's time to celebrate of course. We had been craving for this Nutella Milkshake from D' Journal, the soft-opening cafe in Grand Indonesia. We love their decorations, the drink of course and also we tried their Rainbow cake along with Chocolate Chips too. For their Nutella Milkshake it's around 43,000 IDR while for their Cookie is around 10,000 IDR and their Rainbow Cake is 25,000 IDR (ish). We haven't tried their coffee yet, but their Nutella Milkshake is a total addiction that make you wanting to keep drinking and drinking! Oh, I forgot to say how comfortable their place is whether it's outdoor or indoor and surely a great ambience whether for a meeting, hang out or simply just having some time alone. Even I'm looking forward to gather all the team for some business talks and you can see how happy I look :D!

And oh, we went to Encore Bazaar and I ended up brought lots of sweet for mom as I know she loves these kind of sweets which I do too ha-ha-ha-ha! At first, I knew I was going to buy Mochi for Mom, but ended up buying this and that. Well, it was surely worth it though and this Encore Bazaar always sold delicious cakes, macaroons, and whatever sweets they were selling.

Overall, thank you super much LORD JESUS For a great weekend I had with tons of great food too. It's really hard to resist and say NO to sweet but slowly, I'm managed in controlling them. More like swapping - today sweet, tomorrow no sweet and hope my health would be improving and better. A need to start dancing on wii ha-ha-ha-ha! Love my weekend. Simple, lovely and great food :)

L.O.V.E hanging out!

What a marvelous tuesday it was for me albeit I had to wake up early in the morning for blood test. See, the truth, yesterday night I had those food and beverage which I wasn't supposed to have but I did burnt some calories at night so hope for the best. Who could had resisted that super delicious Nutella Milkshake from D'Journal. Later, after woke up so early, I felt so sleepy that although I slept for two hours, I still felt so tired, it was surely awesome nap! Today, the whole group gathered and everyone was so busy with their own works. Everything felt just so right even there were 5 of us in that small room yet it felt like we were in a proper big office. The comfort, the fun, the seriousness; They were all just blended so well. The right people with the right place at the right time which even make me feel we need to find a proper office and workshop as soon as possible. Then at night, we met Rini and Andre for dinner. At first, we were supposed to meet at 7pm but ended up at around 8.40pm and around 10 minutes to find a place with our starving face.

Gathered together with them made you forget the world. Some random talks but ended with lots of laughter and happy moments. Definitely the best stress remedy - laughter. It wasn't the place I guess, more over the people who we were with but glad that we chose this "Serba Food" at Central park. Like always, we didn't realize how fast the time flies and time to go home it was (almost 11pm). I've known Andre, Rini and Dede for almost 4 or 5 years , I think but for sure it's more than 3 years. We were going on the same photography's school and glad that we kept in touch until now. Being with them is just like being in a comedy show, so much fun to be with and being so thankful for this moment.  Thank you for this awesome Wednesday, LORD and being with each of them is wonderful and you can see how happy each of us was :)

" The best medicine for stress or depression is Laughter. And in order to have great time, you just have to find the right group of people to spend with! With the best supporters, your life will be less messy, easier and happier. " , true? :)
